Royal Square Street Decorations: Sustainability Meets Style

BID 3 Theme 1 "Town Appearance"

As part of St Ives BID’s “1 Town Appearance” initiative and in alignment with the Sustainable St Ives ethos, we’re excited to unveil the new Royal Square Street Decorations. This innovative project showcases how creativity and sustainability can come together to enhance our town’s appearance while caring for the environment.

The decorations, made from recycled bottles and sugarcane, are a shining example of eco-conscious design. These materials have been repurposed to create eye-catching, durable decorations that will brighten Royal Square during the trial period this year.

A Pilot for a Greener Future

This project not only enhances the beauty of Royal Square but also serves as a test for potentially expanding the initiative to other areas of St Ives in the future. By choosing sustainable materials, we’re reducing waste and setting a precedent for environmentally friendly public displays.

Why It Matters

St Ives BID is committed to keeping our town vibrant and attractive while championing sustainability. Projects like these demonstrate our dedication to reducing environmental impact and creating a town that residents and visitors can enjoy with pride.

Stay tuned as we monitor the success of this trial, with hopes of bringing these sustainable decorations to more areas of St Ives. Together, we can keep our town beautiful while treading lightly on the planet.
