St Ives BID 3

St Ives BID Third Term 2024-2029

For a decade, St Ives BID has successfully delivered projects and services that businesses have identified as priorities. St Ives BID would like to thank all businesses and other partners in the town for the time and support they have given that has enabled these initiatives to be successfully delivered.

Under BID legislation, St Ives BID has been renewed for a further term from June 2024 – March 2029 following a new business plan being published and a ballot being held. Feedback from businesses through our pre-ballot survey indicated that there was an appetite for the BID to be renewed hence in May 2023, we engaged with all our levy paying businesses launching our summer consultation (click here to view it)

Using the early feedback, we suggested project ideas under four main themes and asked you what you thought. We also outlined our achievements during the second term. Nearly three quarters of respondents were either ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with St Ives BID and 72% said they would vote ‘yes’. You ranked theme 1 (Town Appearance & Facilities) as the most important theme followed by theme 3 (Safer St Ives) indicating that there is a real drive to tackle the anti-social behaviour that has the potential to blight our town.

Thank you to everyone who gave valuable feedback. We used the results to shape our next business plan which is now available by clicking the image below.

75% of businesses voted YES to St Ives BID continuing for a third term.

Baselines – What are they and how do they work?

Services provided by statutory organisations within St Ives that correlate with the projects that the BID will deliver have been documented. The purpose of this it to ensure that St Ives BID is adding value to current service provision and supporting businesses rather than replacing or duplicating existing services.

Baselines will be reviewed each year with Cornwall Council, Devon and Cornwall Police and St Ives Town Council. Cornwall Council issues will be reported through the localism team at Cornwall Council as and when they occur.
