As part of our commitment to Theme 3: Supporting Business, St Ives BID is organising a dedicated Job Fair to support local employers with recruitment and connect them with jobseekers from across the community.
Recruitment continues to be a key challenge for many businesses, particularly around seasonal demand. This initiative is designed to provide a practical, accessible solution by bringing together employers, candidates and employment support services in one central location.
The Job Fair will give businesses the opportunity to:
- Promote current vacancies
- Meet potential candidates face to face
- Raise awareness of opportunities within their organisation
- Engage with a local talent pool
For jobseekers, the event will offer:
- Access to a range of seasonal and permanent opportunities
- Direct engagement with local employers
- Support from the National Career Service
- Advice and guidance from Job Centre Plus
By facilitating these connections, the BID aims to:
- Support businesses in filling vacancies more efficiently
- Help reduce barriers to employment locally
- Retain talent within St Ives
- Strengthen the resilience of the local economy
