The St Ives Gold Card is our way of rewarding Cornwall residents for supporting St Ives businesses all year round.
For just £5, Cornwall residents can access exclusive offers and discounts from participating businesses across St Ives, from shops, cafés and restaurants to attractions, galleries and services.
But the Gold Card is about much more than getting a great deal.
It encourages people to shop, eat, visit and spend locally, helps our businesses build stronger relationships with local customers and, importantly, raises money that goes straight back into our community.
Over 900 Gold Cards sold – and counting
More than 900 Gold Cards have already been sold, demonstrating just how strongly the scheme has been embraced by local residents.
And those cards are changing where people choose to spend their money.

The scheme isn’t limited to St Ives residents. It is available to residents across Cornwall, helping to encourage people from surrounding towns and villages to choose St Ives too.

For participating businesses, the Gold Card provides another reason for local customers to visit – particularly during the quieter months of the year.
Businesses choose the offer they would like to provide, giving Gold Card holders a growing selection of reasons to shop, eat and spend locally.
And we’re seeing evidence that it works.

Giving back to our community
One of the things we’re proudest of about the Gold Card is that its impact doesn’t end at the till.
Money raised through Gold Card sales helps us support local charities, organisations and community projects.
Last year, £2,000 was donated back into the community and, with the continued success of the Gold Card, we’re hoping to double that contribution this year.
Those donations can make a very real difference.
St Ives NCI received £250 towards upgrading essential equipment at its station.

St Ives Football Club used its funding towards a ride-on mower that helps maintain the ground used by its locally based youth teams.
And a £1,000 grant to St Ives Community Foodshare funded the session leader for its Kevranna Social Club for four months. The club supports around 30 people, providing friendship, activities, shared meals and an important source of connection for people experiencing loneliness and social isolation.

What started as a simple idea to encourage local spending has grown into a scheme that connects residents, businesses and community organisations.
