St Ives BID was delighted to deliver the St Ives Job Fair, bringing together local businesses, jobseekers and employment support services for a highly positive and productive event.
Held at the Salvation Army, the event created a welcoming space for people to connect, explore opportunities and have meaningful, face-to-face conversations about employment.
We were pleased to welcome support from Job Centre Plus, the National Career Service, and Cornwall Recovery College, who provided valuable advice, guidance and support to attendees throughout the day.
Local businesses including Cornish Masters Gallery, Porthminster Beach, and Bluefin Boats attended to meet potential candidates and discuss current opportunities. In addition, a busy Jobs Board showcased a wide range of seasonal and permanent roles available across the town.
The event generated lots of positive conversations, with businesses and jobseekers making direct connections, and a number of positions already filled as a result.
This initiative highlights the importance of creating opportunities for local people and businesses to connect, helping to strengthen St Ives’ workforce and support a thriving local economy.
St Ives BID will continue to deliver projects that support businesses, encourage local employment, and contribute to a resilient and sustainable town centre.
