Get ready for one of Cornwall’s most spectacular New Year’s Eve celebrations, proudly delivered by St Ives Business Improvement District. Each year, St Ives transforms into a vibrant hub of excitement, creativity, and community spirit and NYE 2025 – 2026 is set to be our biggest and best yet.

We’re also incredibly proud to share that New Year’s Eve in St Ives has been named a finalist at the National BID Awards for Best Event of the Year a fantastic recognition of the hard work, collaboration, and passion that goes into delivering this unforgettable night.


An Unforgettable Way to Welcome the New Year

Whether you’re a local or visiting for the festivities, St Ives offers an unbeatable way to ring in the new year. The town comes alive with energy as thousands gather to celebrate together by the sea.

St Ives’ bars, pubs, and restaurants will be open late, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere throughout the town. Expect music, laughter, and crowds dressed in their finest (and funniest!) costumes, a beloved tradition that makes New Year’s Eve in St Ives truly unique.


Fireworks to Light Up the Night

The highlight of the evening will be the spectacular midnight fireworks display, lighting up the St Ives coastline as we welcome 2026 together.

This year’s fireworks are once again designed and delivered by local experts Celebration Pyrotechnics, whose stunning displays have become a signature moment of St Ives’ New Year’s Eve celebrations.


Planning, Safety & Community Collaboration

Months of detailed planning go into making New Year’s Eve in St Ives a success. The event is carefully coordinated alongside key partners, including:

  • Cornwall Council
  • St Ives Town Council
  • Police services
  • Medical and first response teams
  • Fire services
  • Professional pyrotechnics specialists

This collaborative approach ensures the safety and enjoyment of more than 40,000 attendees who flock to the town each year to celebrate responsibly.

To support the event, road closures will be in place, so please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time for travel.

Please find below the road closures planned for St Ives on the 31st of December 2025, coming into force no earlier than 18:00, and being lifted no later than 08:00 on the 1st of January 2026.

Please note that Gabriel Street taxi rank will remain open.
