A 2016 survey of businesses within the St Ives BID area resulted in 89% of businesses saying they want a CCTV system in the town.

A new system would be monitored at the Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service Critical Control Centre, Tolvaddon. St Ives BID, alongside the ‘Cameras for St Ives’ group continues to lobby for the installation of a CCTV system within the town.
