Small Business Saturday - Santa Comes to Town - Super Saturday
Christmas and New Year’s Eve in St Ives is a great place to be. The town comes alive with celebrations, festivities, and events for the whole family to enjoy. St Ives Business Improvement District (BID) is once again supporting St Ives in December to coordinate and promote a range of events taking place in the lead up to the big day.
Saturday 3 December – Small Business Saturday
Ideal for Christmas Shopping!
It will be free to park in all Cornwall Council pay and display and pay on exit car parks, and to use the Truro Park and Ride, on Small Business Saturday, which this year falls on Saturday, December 3.
Wednesday 7th December 2022 – Santa will arrive on the St Ives RNLI Lifeboat – Lifeboat launch at 5:45 and Santa arriving at 6pm
Once on dry land, Santa will get into his sleigh and be pulled by St. Ives Rugby Club and taken along The Wharf, Fore Street, Market Square, High Street, Tregenna Place and finally to Café Art in Royal Square where he will be greeted by the Local Hero and the Mayor of St. Ives. The Local Hero will then turn on the Christmas lights and Christmas tree for the official switch on.
Saturday 10th December 2022 – Super Saturday
Street entertainers throughout the day from 11 am
Santa’s Grotto in the Library
Lantern parade from 5:45 pm which will do a full circuit of the town. Starting at Royal Square, Gabriel Street, Street-An-Pol, St. Andrews Street, Market Place, The Wharf, Fore Street, Market Place, High Street, Tregenna Place and back to Royal Square.
FREE PARKING
Thank you to Peter and Moira for their huge generosity in offering free parking in the Laundrette car park from 9:00 am until Midnight on the 10th. The car park owners have extended parking this year to include the evening so that people can stay and have dinner without worrying about car park tickets!
