The OPCC is now seeking public feedback on the street marshals.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Safer Summer Scheme funded extra summer resources to help prevent anti-social behaviour, support communities and provide COVID-19 guidance and reassurance as tourists and residents returned to our town centres and beaches over the busy summer months. In Cornwall, 7 areas benefitted from the scheme – Bude, Newquay Fistral Beach and Newquay Central, Perranporth/Perran Sands, Penzance, St Ives and Truro.
One of the key elements of the Scheme was the deployment of street/beach marshals to patrol ‘hotspot’ areas and the OPCC is now seeking public feedback on the marshals through a short poll https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SaferSummerScheme
The survey will close at midnight on Tuesday 13th October 2020 and the results will form part of the evaluation of the scheme.
